Art to play solo acoustic sets
Tired of the bleak, Dubiousless existence you've been enduring since George left?
Well, sigh no more: lift (and drink) your spirits with a solo acoustic holiday set from Art!
Friday, December 21:
Miss Art's Black Friday set with CMT at Lilly's? Hit The Note for another acoustic set and learn the true meaning of
"Bah, Humbug!" (Here's a hint: it's nicotene withdrawal.)
Check out the live page for details.
George Manolis departs for Brookyln
It is with great sadness that we announce the departure of our friend and Dubious Moniker
drummer George Manolis on September 1st. George is heading to NYC to become a full time member
of Slaves. We'll have more on
how this will affect DM in the weeks to come. For now, sit tight; we're in the studio.
Double Door Photos Online!
Huge thanks to everyone who made it out to the show at Double Door April 7! As always, we can't
tell you how much your support means to us.
If you were there, you might find a candid shot of yourself
over on our Photos page. Also, keep an eye on this site for audio
and video recordings of the set, which we'll upload in the coming weeks.
Rusty Pipes
Extra special thanks to Tyranny Belle's
own Rusty Pipes for opening the night
with a bang (and twang). Pipes -- who continue to fight against oppressors of the working man
with hard-hitting punkabilly rock -- are currently in the studio recording a new full-length album. They're also one of Chicago's finest live acts, so check them out posthaste.
Subterranean Monday, May 7
If you couldn't make it to Double Door, don't fret. Dubious will play an intimate, full-band
acoustic set in the downstairs lounge of
Subterranean Monday, May 7 at 8 p.m.
Thanks again for your support, folks. We couldn't do any of this without you. See you soon!

Dubious Live at Double Door
Saturday, April 7
Dubious Moniker will return to
Double Door for another headlining gig Saturday, April 7!
Openers include Life Number Nine, Nick Zepp and Chicago's finest rockabilly punk band, Tyranny Belle's
own Rusty Pipes! Pipes take the stage
at 9 p.m. sharp, so be there on time if you wanna get piped.
This will be a special show for Dubious fans, as we'll be unveiling brand-new songs all
night long. We've been working hard on these babies and think you'll like 'em.
Be sure to print out the ticket below (click it; it's a link) and bring it to the show. It saves you $2 at the door and
lets Double Door know that you came to see us.
Hope we see you there!

Happy Birthday, Thomas Bamford
My brother Tab and his wife Kristin had a baby! Thomas Matthew Bamford was born Feb. 23rd.
I thought it'd be fun to record a cover of the song "Whistle your Blues Away" (by Andrew Winn) for the little guy. Peter C.
recorded and produced the track at BillyDog Studios. Enjoy!
